Location: Quincy, IL

Pay Range: $30.39 - $45.59 Based on Relevant Experience

Schedule: PRN (as needed), including coverage for PTO, extended hours, and fluctuating departmental needs

About the Role

As a PRN MRI Technologist at Quincy Medical Group, you will provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and accurate imaging results. This role supports departmental coverage needs and offers flexibility while working within a collaborative radiology team.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform MRI examinations in accordance with physician orders, departmental protocols, and safety standards.
• Prepare and screen patients for MRI procedures, including reviewing medical history and ensuring MRI safety compliance.
• Position patients appropriately to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
• Administer contrast agents as ordered and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
• Ensure accurate documentation and image transfer within the imaging system and electronic medical record.
• Maintain MRI equipment, perform quality control checks, and report equipment issues as needed.
• Adhere to infection control, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Provide compassionate patient care and clear communication throughout the imaging process.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support radiology operations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited MRI or Radiologic Technology program required.
• Current ARRT (MR) certification or ARRT (R) with MRI registry eligibility required.
• Active Illinois licensure required, if applicable.
• CPR certification required (available upon hire).
• Prior MRI experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, commitment to patient safety, and ability to work independently in a PRN capacity.
