Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Job Summary:
Seeking a MedSurg RN to provide compassionate and skilled care on an Oncology Floor. This 13-week assignment offers the potential for extension, with a focus on high patient acuity and specialized treatments.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to oncology patients with patient ratios of 1:6 or 1:7.
• Administer treatments, monitor vitals, and manage IV starts in a telemetry-enabled environment.
• Accurately document patient information using Cerner and Soarian EMR systems.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Follow all safety protocols including BLS certification and specialty skill requirements.
• Complete required pre-employment modules via HealthStream prior to start date.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license and meet state requirements.
• Possess at least one year of recent MedSurg experience, with oncology experience highly preferred.
• Demonstrate proficiency in telemetry, IV starts, and managing higher patient ratios.
• Have current BLS certification; additional oncology-specific certifications are a plus.
• Travel experience and prior use of Cerner & Soarian EMR systems are preferred.
• Be able to commit to nights (4x12) from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with minimal to no RTO.
