Calhoun's at Kingston Pike & Pellissippi Parkway is hiring Cooks!

We're looking for dependable, energetic people to join our kitchen team. Whether you've worked a restaurant line before or you're ready to learn, we're looking for people who can bring a good attitude, move with a purpose, and work well with the team.

You'll learn and work different stations throughout our kitchen, including Grill, Fry, Salad, and Window.

On a typical shift, you'll:

• Prep and cook food according to our recipes and standards
• Keep your station stocked, clean, and ready to roll
• Check food temperatures and follow food safety procedures
• Put together orders quickly and accurately
• Learn new menu items and specials
• Take care of kitchen equipment and let management know when something isn't working properly
• Jump in and help your teammates when things get busy

Bottom line: Make great food, keep your station on point, and help the kitchen crush the rush.

You don't have to be a professional chef. You do need to show up ready to work.

You'll fit right in if you:

• Work well with others and have a sense of humor
• Can handle a fast-paced environment
• Stay cool when the tickets start rolling in
• Can follow recipes and instructions
• Understand basic math and kitchen conversions
• Can use a digital scale and thermometer
• Can lift up to 50 lbs., with heavier lifting occasionally with assistance
• Are comfortable standing, walking, bending, and moving throughout your shift
• Have kitchen or line experience - preferred, but a great attitude and willingness to learn go a long way
