RN Description -Eligible for up to a $10,000 sign-on bonus!!

Registered Nurses will coordinate the nursing care for the infant, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient intra-operatively. Each will work cooperatively with other patient care personnel inside and outside the department to coordinate continuity of care for patients and families throughout the surgical process while maintaining standards for professional nursing practice. The person in this position is accountable to the Director of Surgery. Must exhibit guest relation skills. There are three areas of the operating room in which such a nurse might focus: circulating, scrub nurse, and first assistant.

Candidate must have graduated from an accredited school of nursing

1 year of nursing experience preferred.

Previous O.R. experience is preferred.

Must be registered in the state of Illinois

Current CPR certification

ACLS and PALS certification preferred

Surgical Tech Description - No Sign-on Bonus

Assists nursing in preparation of infant, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric surgical patients; functions as a member of the sterile team in creating and maintaining a sterile field. The person is this position is accountable to the OR Lead RN and Director of Surgical Services. Must exhibit guest relation skills. The scrub surgical technologist handles the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure. He/she has an understanding of the procedure being performed and anticipates the needs of the surgeon. He/she has the necessary knowledge and ability to ensure quality patient care during the operative procedure and is constantly on vigil for maintenance of the sterile field.

Position Qualifications:

Must have graduated from an accredited scrub technician school

Experience as a certified scrub tech preferred

Must be certified as a scrub technician in the state of Illinois. Licensed in the state of Illinois preferred, if not licensed upon hire then licensure will be required 3 months after hire.
