Patient Care Technician - Emergency Department

Our client is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support patient intake and care coordination within a fast-paced Emergency Department setting. The ideal candidate will have a calm, attentive demeanor, strong communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a high-pressure clinical environment. This is an onsite position based in Westchester County, NY.

Starting at $25/hour

Patient Care Technician's Responsibilities and Duties:

• Receive and greet patients upon arrival to the Emergency Department
• Assist with taking and recording patient vitals
• Support patients in transferring to and settling into beds
• Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection as needed
• Assist with EKG administration and monitoring
• Respond quickly and calmly to changing patient needs in an ED setting

Patient Care Technician's Qualifications and Skills:

• At least 2 years of professional experience in a Patient Care Technician, Medical Assistant, or similar role within an Emergency Department
• Current CPR certification
• Current EKG certification
• Current Phlebotomy certification
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-acuity Emergency Department environment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
