• Equitable Learning for All: Serve diverse learners (including scholars with disabilities and multilingual learners) through inclusive, grade-level instruction and individualized support.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide Excellent College-Preparatory Instruction to All Scholars

• Develop and maintain a positive, achievement-oriented, supportive, and collaborative culture of high expectations that motivates and inspires scholars to learn at college-preparatory levels.
  
• Effectively execute assigned curriculum and just-in-time supports to reach every scholar, regardless of prior academic background, disability, or English language fluency.
  
• Engage in internalizing assigned curriculum, tied to specific grade level and content standards, in teacher teams and individually to prepare daily lesson plans, instructional materials, and exit tickets aligned to rigorous college-ready standards.
  
• Use exit tickets, unit tests, interim exams, and other assessment data to determine differentiated re-teaching needed to advance all scholars toward demonstrating mastery.
  
  
• Collaborate with peers to ensure that all scholars receive the appropriate support, including the accommodations they need to successfully access grade-level content.

• Create a coherent and supportive classroom culture to support scholar engagement, learning, and well-being.

• Seek opportunities, both individually and through school-based initiatives, to build strong and collaborative relationships with faculty, staff, families, scholars, and alumni.

• Data : Know how to use data, technology, and innovative teaching methods to monitor growth and scholar progress, drive classroom learning, and prepare all scholars to succeed in life after high school.
  
• Expertise : Have strong academic content expertise, instructional and classroom management skills, and in-depth knowledge of effective evaluation and assessment techniques to drive scholar learning. Thrive in an environment of high expectations and collaboration.
  
• Mindset : Hold a growth mindset and commit to continuously honing their teaching craft
  
  
• Relationship-Building : Have strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills with both children and adults.
  

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

A California teaching credential in the assigned subject area(s) and a valid English Learner Authorization are required. Applicants who will hold any of the following credentials by their start date are welcome to apply:

• California Single Subject Credential in Dance (Clear or Preliminary) or Physical Education with a "PE" or "PEX" authorization code (Clear or Preliminary). Applicants will be required to provide a copy of the credential, or, if in progress, a status letter from their credential program.
  
• California Single Subject Credential with a Specific Supplementary Authorization in Dance (Clear or Preliminary). Applicants will be required to provide a copy of the credential, or, if in progress, a status letter from their credential program.
  
• California University or District Intern Credential in Dance. Applicants will be required to provide an intern-eligibility letter from their credential program.
  
• Equivalent Out-of-State Credential transferring to California. Applicants will be required to provide a copy of their out-of-state credential. Note: If you do not yet hold a California-equivalent English Learner Authorization, you may qualify for a temporary permit while transferring your credential.
  
• For Middle School only: California Multiple Subject or Single Subject Credential with an Introductory Supplementary Authorization in Dance . Applicants will be required to provide a copy of the credential, or, if in progress, a status letter from their credential program.
  

Bachelor's Degree: Applicants without a credential will be required to provide a copy of their transcript for evaluation to determine eligibility for an emergency teaching permit.

Applicants without a current credential or a verifiable pathway toward obtaining a California teaching credential will not be considered.

COMPENSATION
$70,000.00 - $152,500.00
