The ideal candidate will support a wide range of fine arts, academic, and community events through effective facility management, technical theatre expertise, and exceptional communication and organizational skills. This position is responsible for collaborating with the FPS Director of Fine Arts and Fine Arts Administrative Assistant in coordinating all PAC activities, event scheduling, theatrical production support, ticketing operations, equipment maintenance, and facility readiness. The PAC Manager will work closely with theatre, music, and fine arts faculty, district staff, students, and community partners to ensure high-quality performances and events in a safe, professional, and welcoming environment. The role requires extensive knowledge of technical theatre systems, including lighting, sound, stage operations, and production management. Evening and weekend hours are required based on performance and event schedules. Primary Responsibilities: Plan, organize, schedule, and coordinate PAC operations, including events, rehearsals, performances, reservations, logistics, and facility usage in collaboration with the Department of Fine Arts Create, maintain, and communicate the PAC master calendar in coordination with district departments and external organizations in collaboration with the Department of Fine Arts Conduct and support production meetings to facilitate communication and collaboration among faculty, staff, students, guest artists, and event stakeholders Collaborate with the Theatre Technical Director to design, program, operate, and supervise lighting, sound, projection, and stage systems for performances and events Oversee box office operations, ticketing systems, customer service, house management, and usher coordination as needed by event calendar Maintain organization, inventory, functionality, inspection, and preventative maintenance of technical theatre equipment and PAC‑related spaces in coordination with district personnel and outside vendors Train faculty, staff, students, and approved users on theatre equipment operation and safety procedures as needed for production calendars Coordinate with Maintenance and Custodial Departments regarding facility setup, breakdown, and cleaning schedules Maintain organization of backstage and support spaces Support high‑quality fine arts experiences through effective communication, professionalism, collaboration, and adherence to district policies, safety standards, and FERPA guidelines Schedule work hours to align with PAC events, including evenings, weekends, and extended production hours Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications: Associate’s degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred Two years of related experience in technical theatre, theatrical production, lighting and sound design, stage management, or performing arts facility management preferred Strong knowledge of theatrical lighting, sound reinforcement, video streaming, rigging, scenic construction, stage systems, and production equipment Ability to operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and safely use technical theatre equipment, tools, lifts, and light machinery Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, leadership, and problem‑solving skills Ability to manage multiple projects, schedules, event logistics, and changing production needs while meeting deadlines Experience using Google Workspace, spreadsheets, databases, ticketing systems, and related technology tools Ability to maintain accurate records, inventories, and event documentation Ability to train, supervise, and support staff and student workers in a collaborative environment Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, faculty, staff, parents, community members, and large audiences Knowledge of school district procedures, event coordination practices, and safety standards related to technical theatre and event management Commitment to maintaining a safe, inclusive, professional, and student‑centered environment Work Environment and Physical Demands: Work is performed primarily in theatre and office settings and may involve exposure to noise, dust, theatrical lighting, electrical systems, paint fumes, and varying temperatures during productions and events. The position requires the ability to stand, walk, climb, lift, carry, push, and pull equipment up to 50 pounds, as well as operate technical equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine motor coordination. Evening, weekend, and extended hours are regularly required based on event schedules. Work Schedule: Full‑time position aligned with the Fayetteville Public Schools calendar and Performing Arts Center event schedule. Work hours will vary depending on rehearsals, performances, productions, and special events, including evenings and weekends as needed.
