Member Engagement Coordinator

Introduction STELLA is a cooperative library consortium serving 44 member libraries throughout Middlesex, Monmouth, and Union counties. Established in 1986, STELLA provides shared technology, professional development, cooperative services, resource sharing, and other programs that help member libraries deliver high-quality services to their communities. STELLA is a focused, innovative, and collaborative organization committed to supporting library staff and strengthening cooperation among our member libraries. Principal Function The Member Engagement Coordinator is a part-time, up to 20-hours-per-week position that reports to the Executive Director. The position supports STELLA's member libraries through the coordination of professional development, training, events, member communications, and marketing initiatives. The Coordinator serves as a key point of contact for member engagement activities and works closely with STELLA committees, member library staff, and the Executive Director to develop and promote programs and services. Work is primarily performed at the STELLA office, with occasional visits to member libraries and other locations for meetings and events. Position Details Part-time, hourly, non-exempt (see Employee Handbook for details) Responsibilities Coordinate and administer STELLA's centralized staff training program and learning management system, including course scheduling, enrollment, communications, completion tracking, and maintenance of training resources Coordinate and support STELLA committees in planning and executing professional development programs, meetings, and events, including Annual Circulation and Bibliographic Summits Coordinate, create, and distribute regular communications to member libraries, including a monthly member newsletter Develop promotional materials and email campaigns for STELLA programs, services, and events Assist with maintaining STELLA's website and social media presence Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director Qualifications Bachelor's degree in library science, communications, education, business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience Experience planning and managing events Experience with an LMS, email marketing platform, event-management software, or similar technology preferred Experience with email marketing platforms such as Constant Contact, Mailchimp, Patron Point, etc. Familiarity with Microsoft Office/Google Workspace, Canva, and online collaboration tools Experience with creating training programs (creating, tracking, and managing online courses) Excellent organizational and project-management skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently Strong attention to detail Ability to work collaboratively with library staff, committees, vendors, and other stakeholders Experience working in a library or other nonprofit environment preferred Working Conditions and Physical Requirements Work is performed at the consortium headquarters. Physical requirements include the ability to move around the facility, walk, sit, bend, climb, kneel, stoop, and carry; lift up to 15 pounds, or greater with assistance; and perform other efforts such as moving a computer and accompanying peripherals.
