DESCRIPTION:

An acclaimed Mediterranean restaurant group seeks an Events and Business Development Manager to lead the Events and Catering sales function across their California footprint, based out of their Northern California office in Campbell, CA. This role owns the revenue number, builds and coaches a team of event coordinators, and sets the business development strategy that grows private dining and off-premise catering across every location. This is a builder's role, split between leading people, personally closing high-value business, and putting the pricing, forecasting, and playbooks in place that let the whole team win. Must be authorized to work in the US.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 4 to 6+ years in events, catering sales, or restaurant private dining, with a clear record of hitting and exceeding revenue targets
• 2+ years managing or leading a sales or events team
• An existing network of corporate buyers, planners, hotels, and DMCs in the California market
• Strong commercial judgment around margin, pricing tiers, and minimum spend
• A business development mindset, with a history of building pipeline through prospecting, partnerships, and referral programs
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Ownership of forecasting and CRM discipline (Pipedrive or comparable), including pipeline reporting
• Working knowledge of OpenTable, Toast POS, and BEO formats
• Composure and leadership under pressure on event day
• Availability for evenings, weekends, select holidays, and regional travel between locations
• Multi-unit or multi-location events experience, a plus
• Spanish language skills, a plus
