Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite | 2 weekend shifts or 4 weekend days per 6-week period | Holidays as needed | No call required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Room setting across night shifts
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for emergency patients of varying acuity

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure timely and effective patient outcomes
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently using the EPIC electronic health records system
• Adhere to facility policies including scheduling expectations, attendance standards, and float coverage to other campuses as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room experience required
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records system required
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility (no local candidates accepted)
• Must be able to pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam as required for all RN travelers regardless of specialty

Preferred Experience / Skills

• CPI, PALS, and/or TNCC certifications preferred
• Previous experience as a Charge RN preferred
• Level 2 Trauma center experience preferred
