Life Edge Behavioral Health Center is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our dynamic team. This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to provide trauma-informed mental health care to individuals who have been significantly impacted by various forms of trauma, enabling them to embark on their healing journeys.

Our dedicated team of professionals work collaboratively to ensure that every patient feels safe and empowered through their recovery process.

Work Environment\n

This role is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility in work arrangements while utilizing our state-of-the-art outpatient office facilities. Our therapists typically engage with clients via teletherapy sessions, fostering a comfortable atmosphere for healing from the comfort of their homes. While you will have the autonomy to manage your schedule, regular hours typically fall from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, with a willingness to adapt and provide care based on patient needs.

  • Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to gain insight into each patient's trauma history, informing effective treatment approaches.

  • Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and overall mental health wellness.

  • Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

  • Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, providing a safe space for patients to process their trauma, develop coping strategies, and foster healing.
  • \n
  • Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive, integrated care for our patients.

  • Provide crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, employing your expertise to stabilize and reassure clients.
  • \n
  • Educate patients and their families on trauma responses and coping mechanisms while providing resources for additional support.
  • \n
  • Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in alignment with legal and ethical standards, ensuring the highest level of care.

  • Participate in case consultations, regular team meetings, and ongoing professional development activities focused on trauma-informed care methodologies.

  • Stay current with the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to maintain high-quality service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary clientele for this role includes individuals grappling with a range of trauma-related issues, particularly survivors of domestic violence, combat veterans, and those with significant childhood trauma histories. Understanding the unique needs of this population is critical in providing effective therapeutic support, and our practice prioritizes a culturally competent and sensitive approach to care.

Qualifications\n

  • A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

  • Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Georgia.

  • Demonstrated understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.
  • \n
  • A strong foundation in evidence-based trauma-focused therapies and interventions is essential.
  • \n
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate demeanor.

  • The ability to function effectively in high-stress situations, maintaining composure and focus.
  • \n
  • Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and general computer applications.
  • \n
  • Experience working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

  • A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting is strongly preferred.

  • Hands-on experience delivering trauma-focused interventions and therapies.

  • A demonstrated track record of working with diverse patient populations.

Compensation and Benefits\n
