Sensory Manager

Reference: PR/596226_1785766186Our client, a leading food and beverage manufacturer is seeking a Sensory Manager to lead and evolve its sensory evaluation program. This role will be based out of Knoxville, TN. This individual will oversee sensory strategy, panel management, and data-driven insights to support product quality and innovation initiatives across the organization. This role partners cross-functionally with Quality, R&D, Marketing, and Operations to translate sensory data into actionable business decisions.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and develop a sensory team including coaching and performance managementManage sensory programs, facilities, budgets, and external vendorsEstablish and maintain sensory standards (visual, physical, and descriptive) and methodologiesOversee sensory panels and support multi-site sensory initiativesPartner cross-functionally to support quality and innovation effortsSupport new product development through sensory & consumer insightsAnalyze and interpret sensory data to guide business decisionsQualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Food Science or related field5+ years of sensory or consumer science experience in food & beverage manufacturingExperience in statistical analysis and experimental designStrong understanding of consumer insights and sensory methodologiesProven cross-functional leadership and collaboration skills across Quality, Innovation, and Supply Chain
