Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• Formal software engineering training or certification, with at least 3 years of applied experience.
• Practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using one or more modern programming languages and database query languages.
• Hands-on use of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools for coding, testing, troubleshooting, or documentation, with the ability to evaluate, validate, and refine generated results for correctness, performance, and security.
• Understanding of responsible AI practices in engineering, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, and resiliency and security expectations; able to guide peers in safe and effective use.
• Broad knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle and a strong understanding of agile practices, including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
• Strong backend development experience with Java and Spring Boot, including Spring Security and Spring Data.
• Hands-on experience designing and building GraphQL APIs using Spring for GraphQL or graphql-java; Hasura experience is an advantage.
• Experience with event streaming and data stores, including Apache Kafka (Avro and Schema Registry), Elasticsearch, and SQL platforms such as Snowflake or Trino.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and service mesh patterns, including API gateways, routing, retries and fallbacks, multi-region resilience, and disaster recovery.
• Experience with AWS (ECS, EKS, IAM, Route 53), Docker, infrastructure as code, and CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins, Harness, or Spinnaker.
• Experience with observability and security tools and practices, including OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Splunk, OAuth2/OIDC, JWT, secrets management, and vulnerability remediation using tools such as OWASP and Snyk.
• Disciplined testing experience with JUnit and Mockito, plus working knowledge of Python and FastAPI for supporting services and tools.
• Preferred: familiarity with modern front-end technologies and exposure to cloud technologies.

• Design, develop, and troubleshoot software solutions, applying creative approaches to solve technical challenges beyond routine patterns.
• Build secure, high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that operate in sync with relevant systems.
• Use enterprise-authorized AI coding assistants to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity on complex work, validating outputs through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding practices; share reusable approaches and learnings with the team.
• Apply Software Development Life Cycle tools, including authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to increase the value of automation.
• Create architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensure implementation meets design constraints.
• Analyze and visualize large, varied datasets and produce reporting to support ongoing improvement of software applications and systems.
• Identify underlying issues and patterns in data, using insights to improve coding practices and system architecture.
• Contribute as an experienced member of an agile team to the design and delivery of secure, stable, scalable technology products that support business objectives across technical areas and business functions.
