THE ROLE In this role, the Structural Engineer will provide a detailed body of knowledge that can accurately predict the performance of different shapes and materials used in structures to resist loads and stresses on those structures. This is performed through technical design, calculation, and analysis to make sure that the vertical structures we build are safe, stable, and don’t collapse under applied loads. These responsibilities include: Lead structural engineering projects through all phases—from early planning to final closeout. Collaborate with architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other design disciplines to align structural solutions with overall project requirements. Direct and coordinate the creation of engineering calculations, analyses, and construction documents. Support proposal development by preparing scopes, fees, and contract documents. Forecast workflow, and plan schedules for the project team. Work closely with engineers and BIM Designers to refine design details and ensure high-quality construction document production. Conduct or oversee site visits, construction observations, and progress reporting. Provide inspection services as needed. Review shop drawings and submittals during construction and provide timely engineering responses.
