Job Summary and Qualifications As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) at HCA Healthcare, you’ll be a vital part of a team helping patients regain independence and live their best lives. Your responsibilities will include: Administering occupational therapy treatments and adapting interventions as patient needs and abilities change. Supporting patients and families with education, encouragement, and practical strategies for recovery and independence. Documenting patient progress accurately and contributing input to care planning and interdisciplinary team discussions. Collaborating closely with Occupational Therapists to respond to changes in patient status and ensure safe, effective care. Serving as a trusted resource for patients, caregivers, and colleagues while fostering a positive, supportive care environment. What qualifications you will need: Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date. (OTA) Occupational Therapy Assistant License in the state of South Carolina. Graduate of an accredited school of Occupational Therapy Assistance.
