Speech Therapy - Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)

Join a skilled rehabilitation team as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a 13-week assignment working 8:00 AM 4:30 PM with 36 guaranteed hours per week. The SLP will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive, communication, and swallowing disorders. This role focuses on improving patient function, safety, and quality of life through evidence-based therapeutic interventions while collaborating closely with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

Requirements:

• Active Speech-Language Pathologist License required
• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
• Experience in Skilled Nursing, Rehabilitation, or Long-Term Care preferred
• Knowledge of speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorder treatment required
• Strong communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills required
• Ability to independently evaluate, treat, and document patient care required

Responsibilities include performing speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing evaluations; developing individualized treatment plans; implementing evidence-based therapy interventions; conducting dysphagia assessments and treatment; providing cognitive-linguistic rehabilitation; monitoring patient progress and modifying treatment plans as needed; educating patients, families, and caregivers; maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation; participating in interdisciplinary care conferences; collaborating with physicians, nursing staff, rehabilitation professionals, and caregivers; assisting with discharge planning; ensuring compliance with regulatory and facility standards; and promoting optimal communication, cognition, swallowing safety, and functional independence for patients across the continuum of care.
