Busser/Attendant/Server AssistantThe role of the Busser/Attendant/Server Assistant is to provide a clean dining area bussing tables in an efficient, courteous and accurate manner.Provide assistance to Bar/Lounge/Restaurant:Obtain service area assignment(s) at the beginning of each shift. This can include working in the bar/lounge, dining room, private party areas & beverage storage areas.Promptly greet guests as they are seated and bring water to table.Remove used tableware between courses and provide tableware for next course.Clear tables after guests. Take tableware to dish room and place silverware, dishes, glassware, etc. in appropriate areas for washing.Promptly clean table tops, chairs and booths between seating. Check floor and clean as required. Reset and arrange tabletop.Respond appropriately to guest requests. Communicate guest requests to server as needed.Communicate with server and hostess to assure efficient seating, table utilization and customer service.Assist server as needed with food delivery, especially with large parties and during peak periods.Thank guests as they are leaving.Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor.Washes dishes in the absence of the dishwasher and/or as directed by the servers and manager.Abide by legal standards and TIPS alcohol training guidelines for alcohol service to guests.Creates 100% guest satisfaction through performance that demonstrates the standards of genuine hospitality and exceeding guest expectations:Gives personal attention, takes personal responsibility and uses teamwork when providing guest service.Listens, apologizes with empathy, finds a solution and follows through when resolving guest problems.Provides Yes I Can! genuine hospitality and teamwork on an ongoing basis.Assumes the responsibility to notice when the guest is not satisfied and uses their best judgment as to when it is appropriate to use the 100% Guest Satisfaction.Performs other duties as required by Management to provide 100% Guest Satisfaction and genuine hospitality to our Guest.Performs other duties as required by Management to provide 100% Guest Satisfaction and genuine hospitality to our Guest.Requirement/Skills:Experience in similar position within an upscale restaurant environment is preferred.Excellent attention to detail.Must possess the ability to handle multiple tasks.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Must possess a team spirited attitude and a willingness to help.Ability to effectively communicate with department managers, team members and guests.Ability to retain and give general hotel information.Must possess a strong team spirit.Must work well in stressful, high pressure situations.Physical Demands:Will stand for long periods of time.Proper lifting techniques required.Ability to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.Ability to move throughout the hotel (standing, walking, kneeling, and bending) for extended periods of time.Manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and ability to work with hand above shoulders.Ability to tolerate exposure to heat, cold, chemicals, and loud/noisy environment.Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly, pushing or pulling objects up to 100 pounds.Ability to work under variable temperature conditions and can multi-task.Other Information:The hotel business functions seven days a week, 24 hours a day. All associates must realize this fact and be aware that at all times it may be necessary to move associates from their accustomed shift and alter assigned duties as business dictates.
