Job Title: Neurosurgery Physician Assistant


Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Neurosurgery Physician Assistant to join our team in providing expert care in an inpatient/acute care setting. The position involves supporting a team of 6 MDs, 1 RN, and 4 MAs with a varied patient volume, primarily adults. The schedule includes 10-hour (7a-5p) or 12-hour (7a-7p) shifts, with one weeknight call and one weekend day per call week. Typical days consist of approximately 12 MDs in clinic, with 1 NP and additional APPs present 12x per week. Patients are scheduled from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm, with rounds required prior to clinic. Procedures involve diagnostic and therapeutic taps, surgical care, suturing, EVD placement, lumbar drains, lumbar punctures, ICP monitor placements, and primary surgical of complex wounds.


Qualifications:

• Board Certified in Neurosurgery
• Active SC State License
• No specific certifications required (BLS/ACLS)
• Must have a clean background
• Credentialing/Privileging timeframe of 60-90 days
• Not eligible for licensing or IMLC acceptance
• Travel expenses (airfare, hotel, rental car, mileage, etc.) are billable

Shift Details:

• 3x12-hour shifts from 07:00 to 19:00

Hourly Pay Rate: $166.92
