Professional Land Surveyor

An established surveying and civil engineering firm in Chicago is hiring a licensed Professional Land Surveyor to lead survey projects and field crews.

What You'll Do

Lead boundary, ALTA/NSPS, topographic, and construction staking surveys
Review and seal plats, maps, and legal descriptions
Research deeds, records, and prior surveys to resolve boundary questions
Manage and mentor party chiefs, field crews, and CAD techs
Coordinate with clients, engineers, and reviewing agencies on schedules and deliverables

What You Bring

PLS license in Illinois, or eligibility by comity
7+ years of land surveying experience, including project or crew leadership
Working knowledge of AutoCAD or Civil 3D, Trimble or Carlson, GPS/GNSS, and robotic total stations
Strong knowledge of Illinois survey standards and boundary law
