Ask for details!What You'll Do:Provide preventative periodontal care, including scaling, prophylaxis, root planing, sealants, and application of preventative agents.Perform expanded functions as permitted by licensure, including placing and carving restorations and managing temporary crowns.Take and manage dental X-rays; complete periodontal charting and maintain accurate patient records.Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide analgesia as needed.Educate and counsel patients on oral hygiene and preventative care; develop dental hygiene treatment plans in collaboration with providers.Assist providers during exams and ensure operatories and instruments meet infection control standards.Support clinic efficiency, quality initiatives, and compliance with TJC, HRSA, and YVFWC requirements.Qualifications:Graduation from an accredited Dental Hygiene programWA: Active Dental Hygiene License or Limited Dental Hygiene LicenseCPR Certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire)Bilingual English/Spanish preferred at a level 10Knowledge of standard dental practices and current hygiene conceptsAbility to deliver care to patients of all ages and backgroundsStrong time management and organizational skillsHigh level of manual dexterity and coordinationBasic computer proficiency (Electronic Dental Records, Outlook, Word, Excel)Why Join YVFWC?At YVFWC, you'll be part of a collaborative, supportive care team dedicated to improving health outcomes in the communities we serve.
