RPM Performance Coatings generated $1.5 billion in net sales for the fiscal year ended May 31, 2024.The Data Solutions Engineer is responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing enterprise data solutions that support reporting, analytics, and business operations. This role focuses on building and supporting data pipelines, transforming and integrating data within Databricks, and creating trusted, business-ready datasets for consumption across the organization.A key responsibility is preparing and validating data from Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management (D365 F&SCM), Infor LN, and other enterprise systems. The role collaborates closely with Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable and scalable data solutions on Microsoft Azure and related enterprise platformEssential FunctionsData Pipeline DevelopmentDesign, build, and maintain data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and delivery.Automate workflows to ensure efficiency and reliability.Data Transformation & IntegrationDevelop and enhance Bronze, Silver, and Gold layer datasets to support business and analytical requirements.Integrate data from ERP and other enterprise systems into enterprise data platforms.Create and maintain data transformations, joins, calculations, and business logic to support downstream consumption.Support deployment of new data assets, enhancements, and data products.Data Validation & QualityValidate, reconcile, and troubleshoot data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.Investigate data quality issues and collaborate with business stakeholders to identify and resolve discrepancies.Support data governance standards through adherence to established data quality, security, and documentation practices.Data ModelingCreate and maintain logical and physical data models.Ensure compliance with data quality, security, and governance standards.CollaborationWork closely with BI teams, data analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver actionable insights.Continuous ImprovementStay current on emerging technologies and best practices in data engineering and architecture.Other duties that may be assigned.Minimum RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field. 3-5+ years of experience developing and supporting data solutions, data integration processes, or data engineering initiatives. Proficiency in SQL and modern data management concepts. Strong knowledge of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and database management principles. Experience integrating and validating data from enterprise business applications, including ERP systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot data quality and integration issues. Understanding of data governance, security, and data quality best practices. Experience working with Business Intelligence and Analytics teams to deliver trusted, business-ready data.Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States. Advanced skills in SQL, Python, and automation scripting. Familiarity with modern data architecture patterns, including data lakes, data warehouses, and lakehouse platforms. Experience with Databricks or comparable cloud-based data engineering platforms. Experience developing and supporting Bronze, Silver, and Gold data layers or equivalent curated data models. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&SCM, Infor LN, or other ERP platforms. Experience supporting Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, or other enterprise analytics platforms. Azure Data Engineering, Databricks, or related cloud data certifications.Benefits and CompensationThe pay range for applicants in this position generally ranges between $95,000 and $120,000 annually.
