About the Role
The Company is in search of a Vice President of Engineering to spearhead a significant technology modernization project. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and executing a long-term engineering modernization strategy, leading the transformation of legacy applications into modern cloud-native architectures, and driving the enterprise adoption of AI-assisted software engineering. This role is pivotal in the organization's goal to build an AI-first engineering culture, with a focus on automation, developer productivity, and engineering excellence. The VP of Engineering will also be tasked with modernizing application architecture, improving software delivery through Agile and DevOps practices, and aligning technology investments with the business strategy. Applicants for the Vice President of Engineering position at the company should possess extensive executive-level software engineering leadership experience and a proven track record in leading enterprise application modernization initiatives. A strong background in Java-based enterprise software development, experience with Python, and deep expertise in designing cloud-native platforms and distributed systems are essential. The role requires a leader with a strong understanding of Agile delivery, DevOps, CI/CD, and software lifecycle management, as well as excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Experience in implementing AI capabilities within software engineering and leading large-scale engineering and organizational transformations is also a key qualification.
