Iberia Comprehensive Community Health Center (ICCHC) and its satellite health centers are the leading providers of primary health care services in the communities we serve, including individuals who are both insured and uninsured. ICCHC provides multi-disciplinary, comprehensive health care services, including pharmacy services. Our pharmacy department provides medication, healthcare equipment, vaccinations, medical supplies, and other medical services to patients in our service areas.

ICCHC is currently seeking a full time Pharmacy Clerk/Cashier for its Leesville, Louisiana location.


GENERAL SUMMARY/ OVERVIEW STATEMENT:

The Pharmacy Clerk/Cashier is a member of the pharmacy team. This position is responsible for politely and professionally checking out patient medication to the patient or legal representative. They provide an initial access point for patients dropping off and picking up prescriptions. They monitor the pharmacy waiting area and incoming phone calls to the pharmacy.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. EDUCATION: To work as a Pharmacy Clerk/Cashier, one must have a high school diploma or its equivalent.

1. TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: This position requires excellent customer service and excellent phone etiquette skills.

1. JOB KNOWLEDGE: One must have basic knowledge of computers. The job requires basic math and excellent communication skills. One must also demonstrate good ethical judgment in investigating and resolving problems.

1. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Working is primarily sedentary. Large amounts of time may be spent reading or using PC. Occasional local and national travel.
