What You'll Do
- Monitor residents' mental and physical health continuously, reporting changes to supervisors and physicians.
- Accurately transcribe and execute physician orders, administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed.
- Supervise and support nursing assistants according to licensing standards; assign and oversee resident care.
- Assist with physician rounds, wound care, oxygen administration, and feeding procedures.
- Manage resident admissions, discharges, and transfers, ensuring documentation is complete and accurate.
- Communicate effectively with residents' families and coordinate care plans and updates.
- Maintain infection control practices and ensure unit is safe and hazard-free.
- Support the orientation and ongoing education of nursing staff.
- Follow all regulations regarding medication storage and documentation.
- Assume responsibility for unit management during shifts and report any issues promptly.
What You Need
- Valid LPN or LVN license in New Hampshire or applicable state
- Minimum one year of experience in long-term care or related setting preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and clinical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable transportation (note: location is rural with limited public transit options)
About the Assignment This Long Term Care assignment is located about two hours from Boston, in a rural area where personal transportation is necessary.
