About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief of Police to serve as its highest-ranking law enforcement executive, providing strategic direction and administrative oversight for a diverse team of sworn and civilian personnel. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering responsive public-safety services, building a culture of integrity, professionalism, and cooperation, and ensuring consistent accountability. This role involves overseeing all aspects of the police department, including patrol, criminal investigations, communications, support services, and emergency response. The Chief will also be the primary spokesperson for the department, maintaining productive relationships with various stakeholders and supporting professional development within the team. Applicants must have a minimum of ten years of law enforcement experience, with at least five years in a command role, and hold a TCOLE Advanced Peace Officer Certificate or a comparable out-of-state certification. A strong background in modern policing, criminal investigations, police administration, and emergency response is essential, as is a proven track record in leadership, communication, judgment, and problem-solving. The ideal candidate will have a TCOLE Master Peace Officer Certificate, a bachelor's degree in a related field, and experience in a full-service municipal law enforcement agency. Skills in budgeting, strategic planning, technology, and a successful history in community engagement and interagency cooperation are also preferred.
