Class A Driver - Vehicle Test Operator

CDL A Vehicle OperatorWe are hiring an experienced CDL A Vehicle Operator to support advanced vehicle testing and operations. This role involves operating a variety of vehicles—including semi-trucks, straight trucks, and passenger vehicles—while supporting the testing of driver assistance and autonomous systems on both closed courses and public roads. This is a hands-on opportunity for professional drivers interested in working with cutting-edge vehicle technology in a structured, safety-focused environment.Key responsibilities include safely operating semi-trucks, straight trucks, and passenger vehicles during testing activities; testing driver assistance and autonomous features on closed courses and public roads; completing pre-trip and post-trip inspections (DVIRs); providing detailed written and verbal feedback on vehicle and system performance; supporting general vehicle operations and assisting with additional tasks as needed; maintaining professionalism and representing operations appropriately in public settings.Requirements include a valid CDL A driver's license and current medical card, 5+ years of verifiable Class A driving experience (tractor-trailer combination), experience driving and backing 53' dry vans, ability to drive for extended periods, willingness to travel up to 50%, and ability to operate multiple vehicle types as needed. Must pass background check, road test, DOT requirements (drug test, MVR, physical).Driving record requirements include no more than 2 minor moving violations in the past 3 years, no serious traffic violations in the past 5 years, no DUI/DWI/OUI or reckless driving involving substances in the past 10 years, no preventable accidents in the past 3 years, and no DOT-recordable preventable accidents in the past 10 years.Additional qualifications include strong communication skills (written and verbal), ability to follow written and verbal instructions, ability to interpret and apply safety rules, regulations, and procedures, team-oriented, professional, and reliable, and interest in driver assistance and autonomous vehicle technology.Schedule and work details include Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, semi-truck driving: approximately 10–20 hours every other week, remaining time spent operating standard vehicles and supporting operations.Interview process includes recruiter screening and hiring manager interview.
