Job Details Location: Greenville, NC 27834 Position: Registered Nurse - Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Type: Travel nursing assignment Healthcare Setting: 24-bed monitored flex unit Start Date: 09/21/2026 Contract Length: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour night shifts (19:00 - 07:30) Schedule: 36 hours per week, typically 3 shifts per week Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 - $2,130 Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:4 or 1:5 RN-to-patient Scheduling: Self-scheduling available Job Requirements Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; compact license accepted Minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience required Strong cardiac nursing experience required ACLS certification required BLS certification required Ability to perform IV insertion and manage complex monitored patients Experience with post-operative cardiac, thoracic, and vascular patient populations preferred Comfort working in a fast-paced progressive care or telemetry environment Responsibilities Provide high-quality bedside care for progressive care and telemetry patients Monitor and manage patients with cardiac, thoracic, and vascular needs Perform IV starts, peripheral and arterial lab draws, and IV drip management Manage arterial lines, central lines, chest tubes, pacemakers, and enteral tubes Support bedside procedures and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team during interventions Maintain accurate documentation and communicate patient status changes promptly Deliver safe, compassionate nursing care while supporting unit workflow and patient throughput Why consider this Greenville, NC travel nursing job?
