Medical Staff Coordinator II

Overview Lake Huron Medical Center is a 139-bed community hospital located in St. Clair and Sanilac counties. It offers inpatient and outpatient care, including emergency services, primary stroke center, cancer care, surgical services, physical therapy, rehabilitation, pulmonary rehabilitation, and diabetes programs. Lake Huron Medical Center is affiliated with Lake Huron Medical Group, providing primary and specialty care physician practices throughout the Blue Water Area. Responsibilities Ability to function in a demanding environment by navigating multiple projects simultaneously, and effectively supporting a busy Medical Staff Office. Responsible for assigned Medical Staff Departments as assigned by Director/Manager. Facilitates all aspects of credentialing, including applications, reappointments, proctoring and competencies. Interfaces with physicians and hospital management staff in a positive and professional manner. Qualifications Associate’s degree preferred or equivalent education/experience. Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) preferred. Minimum of 3 years technical/administrative experience in a Medical Staff Services Department and/or acute care hospital experience preferred. Strong computer, communication, and writing skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Positive attitude and willingness to learn. Knowledge of medical terminology and medical staff services and/or acute care hospital experience, preferred.
