Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced  General Superintendent   to join the $19.5 billion Redevelopment Program at JFK Airport . The General Superintendent will be the main field point of contact for current and upcoming projects.  This position will aid the local Project Manager of Construction to guide the project team from issued for construction engineering to startup/commissioning.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage day to day project issues and physical activities directly onsite. Mentor on-site superintendents, foremen, and trade crews.
• Enforce strict OSHA guidelines and run daily safety huddles.
• Coordinate master schedules, short-interval plans, and material deliveries. Day to day coordination. 
• Inspect workmanship to guarantee compliance with blueprints, specs and design. 
• Bridge communication between field personnel, project managers, and subcontractors.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of heavy construction experience.
• Proficient in written and oral communication with proven ability to speak with multiple stakeholders.
• Heavy haul experience within the New York City area or New York State area with a background in site logistics.  Following/determining routes with the PANYNJ, coordinating with vendors to ensure safe delivery of material to site and/or laydown areas.
• Well-rounded experience with mechanical, electrical and civil trades.
• Local to JFK Airport in case of any emergencies.
• Flexible when work shifts from days to nights, OT when needed

Salary: $175,000 - $225,000
