What will you do as a PMC GI Tech The GI Technologist applies surgical technology skills to assist in providing patient care in the Endoscopy suite. The GI Technologist assists in maintaining a safe work environment and performs all related job responsibilities. This position works four (4), ten (10) hour shifts per week. A day in the life of a PMC GI Tech may include Coordinates the multidisciplinary activities required to provide the highest standard of care for the patient including providing a safe environment for the patient. Assists in obtaining and organizing supplies and instruments prior to the procedure. Assists in preparation of patient, assembly of supplies, instruments and equipment as well as proper disposition of all specimens. Provides the GI Doctor with appropriate instruments, supplies and equipment in a timely manner. Assists with all aspects of room turnover and instrument/equipment processing. Assists with positioning of the patient according to departmental policy. Performs other duties as assigned. Preferred Qualifications Certification from NBSTSA, NCCT, or NHA is highly desired. Previous experience as a GI Technologist preferred.
