Software Engineer, Backend, Google Photos
Gravity Engineering Services Pvt Ltd.
Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain high‑throughput backend services that store, retrieve, and process billions of photos and videos. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define system requirements, performance goals, and reliability targets. Implement distributed algorithms and data structures to optimize storage, retrieval, and compute efficiency across large clusters. Analyze system performance, identify bottlenecks, and engineer solutions to improve latency, throughput, and fault tolerance. Write clean, well‑tested code in Python, Go, or C++ and participate in code reviews and continuous integration pipelines. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (Master’s or PhD preferred). Minimum 2 years of professional software development experience in one or more of Python, Go, or C++. Strong background in distributed systems, large‑scale infrastructure, and performance optimization. Proficiency with data structures, algorithms, and system design principles.
