Dock Worker

Join our team! We're hiring Dock Workers for 1st shift in Salisbury, NC! Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (No Weekends!) Pay: $14.50 per hour + Production Pay!

Job Summary: As a Dock Worker, you will play a crucial role in the efficient and safe operation of our warehouse dock. You will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, verifying shipments, operating warehouse equipment, and maintaining a clean and organized dock area.

Responsibilities:

• Loading and Unloading: Efficiently load and unload cargo from trucks and within the warehouse.
• Shipment Verification: Inspect and verify the contents of shipments against bills of lading or invoices, ensuring accuracy.
• Equipment Operation: Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment to move freight.
• Dock Maintenance: Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the dock area, ensuring a safe working environment.
• Packaging and Wrapping: Package and wrap goods appropriately for transport, preventing damage.
• Record Keeping: Record cargo information, including weight, charges, and any damages, accurately.
• Communication: Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to coordinate loading and unloading operations and ensure smooth workflow.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications:

• Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting and moving heavy objects.
• Forklift experience is helpful, but not necessary.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Good communication skills.
• Reliable and punctual.
