Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor & Delivery (L&D)

Location: Eureka, CA 95501

Job Type: 13-Week Contract | Local & Traveler

Schedule: Night Shift | 3x12 Hours | 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM | 36 Hours/Week

Pay Rate:

• Local: $2,350 - $2,450/Week
• Traveler: $2,800 - $2,900/Week

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN to provide exceptional maternal and newborn care in a fast-paced acute care setting. The ideal candidate will have strong L&D experience, fetal monitoring expertise, and the ability to independently manage laboring patients.
Requirements

• Active RN License.
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP Certifications required.
• AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring required (Advanced preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience.
• Previous travel assignment experience required.
• Must be able to circulate in the OR.
• Must be able to perform sterile vaginal exams.
• Experience in acute care hospital settings preferred.
• EPIC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods.
• Monitor maternal and fetal well-being using fetal monitoring systems.
• Perform patient assessments and sterile vaginal exams.
• Circulate for cesarean sections and OB procedures.
• Administer medications and treatments.
• Respond to obstetric emergencies and high-risk situations.
• Document patient care accurately in EPIC.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams.
