Quality Technician I

MEC

Quality Technician I

At Mayville Engineering Company (MEC), quality isn't something we leave to chance. It takes sharp eyes, accurate measurements, and people who care about getting things right. Every inspection and every measurement helps ensure we deliver products our customers can trust.

We're looking for a Quality Technician I who takes pride in accuracy, enjoys working with technical details, and understands the importance of doing things right the first time. You'll inspect and test products, operate measurement equipment, document results, and work with our team to identify potential issues before they become bigger problems.

If you're detail-oriented, comfortable working with numbers, and ready to play an important role in manufacturing quality, MEC could be the place for you.

This role involves hands-on inspection work in a manufacturing environment. Depending on your assignment, you should be able to:

  • Occasionally lift and frequently move materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Perform activities such as pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, twisting, crawling, and reaching as needed throughout an 8–12-hour shift.
  • Stand and walk on concrete floors throughout an 8–12-hour shift.
  • Work in areas where noise levels may require hearing protection.

Safety and proper use of required protective equipment are important parts of the job.

At MEC, quality is a team effort, and your work helps make it happen. As a Quality Technician I, you'll play a hands-on role in protecting our standards, supporting our manufacturing teams, and ensuring the products we deliver meet customer expectations.

  • Your attention to detail matters: Help identify issues, prevent defects, and keep quality at the forefront.
  • Your skills keep growing: Build your inspection knowledge and gain experience with manufacturing processes and measurement equipment.
  • Your work has purpose: Know that your measurements, documentation, and observations help protect the products we deliver.
  • Your team makes you stronger: Collaborate with Quality and Production to work through challenges and find solutions.
  • Your future has potential: Strengthen your skills and build a foundation for continued growth in manufacturing and quality.

Mayville Engineering Company is a leading U.S.-based manufacturer delivering engineered products and solutions to customers across a variety of industries. We combine manufacturing expertise, technology, and the talent of our people to turn complex challenges into practical results.

We believe the best results come from people who work together, take ownership, and aren't afraid to ask, "How can we do this better?"

At MEC, we value people who take pride in their work, support their teammates, and look for opportunities to improve. Every team member contributes to our success, and every detail matters.

Ready to put your eye for detail to work? Bring your curiosity, your commitment to quality, and your drive to MEC. Let's build better results together.

MEC is proud to provide equal employment opportunities to all applicants. We welcome candidates of all backgrounds and do not discriminate based on race, religion, color, sex, age, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, veteran status, or any other status protected by law. Employment offers are subject to successful completion of pre-employment drug screening and physicals, consistent with applicable laws.
