ABOUT THE ROLE
Your role is focused on providing strategic leadership, specifically developing and leading a high‑performance, diverse, and inclusive leadership team for the Dallas office of CannonDesign to achieve growth and outstanding top line results. You will develop and implement a business plan for your office in context with a firm‑wide blueprint for a network of highly integrated offices that enhance our SFMO culture and grow the firm. Importantly, you will be a leading ambassador of our brand, responsible for demonstrating how our Living‑Centered Design ethos comes to life in our culture and in the way we partner with clients.WHAT YOU'LL DO
Expectations of success. Office Growth: Provide leadership, guidance and support to Office and Market Leaders in developing new business opportunities with client partners to achieve top line targets, supporting a minimum 10% growth of the office year over year. Strategic Leadership: Lead strategy development and execution; engage and partner with all staff levels to advance entrepreneurial opportunities, innovative market solutions, and impactful design solutions that differentiate the firm and create opportunities for increased market presence and office growth. Market Brand Enhancement: Act as a leading voice for the office within the community and marketplace, advancing a strategic plan that promotes and elevates the brand of the office and the firm, championing Living‑Centered Design at every touchpoint. Design Culture: Together with Design Leadership, foster a design‑focused culture, advocate for the power and impact of a diverse, equitable, inclusive, and integrated response to client opportunities, and champion innovation in client and team approach.AREAS OF FOCUS
Business Plan Leadership: Lead and implement a yearly strategic business plan for your office, engaging Office and Market Leaders to participate and champion initiatives. Top Line Development: Partner with leaders across the firm to grow the business volume of your office and the firm, achieving a net signed fee target of $2.0M per year. Client Leadership Development: Identify, assess, and evaluate Client Leaders, championing the implementation of our client engagement process and providing mentorship and training. Practice and Market Building: Evaluate and address senior talent needs, build a strong leadership team, and implement actions to grow the business and expand markets and services. Staff Development: Mentor and coach employees, champion employee engagement activities, and own results. Adherence to Business Practices: Champion best practices of project management, risk management, process improvement, project leadership and office profitability. Communication: Represent office leadership in firm‑wide meetings, conferences, and events; communicate outcomes, initiatives, policies, and ensure staff remain informed.TIME COMMITMENTS
45% of your time: Advance our brand and develop new business opportunities with client partners focused on growing the office, region, and firm. 30% of your time: Engage and partner with clients on billable project work, building strong client relationships that lead to high satisfaction and future opportunities. 15% of your time: Office leadership including strategy development, practice and market building, business practice support, recruiting, and staff growth activities.KEY CHARACTERISTICS AND COMPETENCIES

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required; Master's preferred. Minimum of 15 years of related experience with a proven track record of business development success and top line growth. Licensure preferred. Additional certifications and/or training relevant to this role are preferred. Strong communication and leadership skills. Business acumen and proven ability to execute strategy. Professional maturity demonstrated by authentic and respectful communication. Some travel required.ABOUT OUR FIRM
