Primary Care Advanced Practice Provider - 29807 Purcell, OK | Health | Full Time Posted 7 days ago | Apply before July 31, 2026 Description We are currently looking for a Full Time Primary Care Advanced Practice Provider to join our Division of Ambulatory and Public Health team located at the Purcell Health Clinic. Summary Provides a full range of care, evaluates and treats acute and minor illnesses or injuries as well as a variety of primary care of episodic complaints. Responsibilities Maintains confidentiality, security, and integrity of data and information in accordance with HIPAA regulations Performs assessments on patients experiencing urgent, emergent, or non-emergent conditions Assesses physical needs of all ages of patients Assesses bio-psychosocial needs of all ages of patients Assesses health education needs of all ages of patients Facilitates consults, referrals, and form completion as requested and approved by the medical staff Evaluates and treats all patients for acute minor illnesses or injuries and provides care for primary care of episodic complaints Provides preventative diagnostic and therapeutic care and services for patients of all ages Participates in performance improvement activities to measure, assess, and improve the quality of the assigned work area Ensures continuity of care and provides timely requests for schedule changes, vacation, sick leave and continuing medical education leave to leadership Provides first class customer service to both internal and external customers and responds to inquiries, compliments, and/or complaints with professionalism, courtesy, and efficiency Completes all training and development requirements and participates in continuing education opportunities Works in a collaborative and supportive manner to support the productivity and safety of the work area, team members and customers of all types Maintains a clean, organized work area and ensures a safe environment Maintains and promotes professionalism Punctual and consistent in meeting start time, work schedule, attendance and other assigned work time metrics Adheres to Chickasaw Nation dress code standards Maintains knowledge of and follows all rules, regulations, policies and guidelines for the assigned area Performs all other duties as assigned Competencies Able to follow instructions, both written and oral Able to adhere to all scheduling and attendance requirements Honesty, truthfulness, reliability, accountability Able to read, understand, apply, and retain knowledge of Chickasaw Nation, departmental, divisional and all other rules, regulations, policies, procedures and guidelines Learn and apply Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, Privacy Act, Federal Advisory Committee Act, Federal Tort Claims Act, Freedom of Information Act, Compliance Standards, Joint Commission Accreditation, and other various regulations Knowledge of relevant privacy regulations such as The Privacy Act, Freedom of Information Act and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act Knowledge and understanding of First American populations Able to verbally communicate in a professional and positive manner with other team members, departments, guests and management Communicates clinical information to patients in emergent or urgent settings Communicates clinical information to patients in non-emergent settings Writes effective communications with team, departments, guests and management Maintains clear and complete employee health records Experience 2 years directly related experience (non-essential) Education Master of Nursing Must have completed an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) program Credentials Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Pass general background check Basic Life Support (BLS) Unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration Number Standard Driver's License Must hold valid licensure or temporary authorization to practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Cert Nurse Practitioner (non-essential) Physician Assistant (non-essential) Working Conditions Fast-paced environment Works in a hospital or clinic environment Potential exposure to biohazards Potential exposure to contagious diseases Communications phone, computer Communications written, verbal May be required to assist individuals with unmanaged emotions Interacts with clinical, support, technical, professional or management staff in a variety of settings and situations Pass pre-employment drug test Frequently bend, kneel, stoop, push, reach Use computer up to 25 percent of shift Frequently assist with lifting patients Sometimes lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs Standing up to 100 percent of shift Walking up to 100 percent of shift Infrequent travel Training It is the responsibility of each employee to attend required training for their position or profession as determined by their line of support (LOS) or the leadership of the Chickasaw Nation.
