Telecommunications Cable Installer (Hiring Immediately) Location: Virginia Beach, VA. Salary: $24–$27 per hour. Job Overview You will work as a Full‑time Low‑Voltage Cable Technician with a team of experienced professionals, executing installations and maintenance of low‑voltage cabling systems (Cat5, Cat6, and Cat5/6) while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Responsibilities Plan, install, terminate, and test low‑voltage cable systems. Diagnose and troubleshoot system failures to ensure optimal performance. Maintain accurate records of installations and maintenance activities. Collaborate effectively with team members and clients. Adhere to safety and regulatory standards. Qualifications Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Cable Technician. Extensive knowledge of low‑voltage cabling, including Cat5, Cat6, and Cat5/6. Proven experience diagnosing and troubleshooting cable system failures. Strong understanding of local, state, and federal regulations regarding low‑voltage cabling. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines. High school diploma or equivalent; a certification in a relevant field is a plus.
