Registered Nurse - Cardiac Scrub

This is a 13-week contract position for a Registered Nurse with Cardiac Scrub experience. The role provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality, compassionate patient care. Utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, the nurse will provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching for patients and their families. Effective communication of pertinent patient/family information to the healthcare team is essential, as is participation in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensuring implementation of these solutions.

Schedule

Shifts may include:

• 6am-2:30pm
• 6am-4:30pm
• 6am-6:30pm

Options for scheduling include five 8-hour shifts, four 10-hour shifts, or three 12-hour shifts, all with a 6am start time. On-call rotation is required, amounting to 48 hours of call in a six-week schedule, with availability for one weekend per month.

Responsibilities

• Formulating effective nursing care plans within the assigned unit/department.
• Performing a wide variety of professional nursing services.
• Effectively communicating with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Cardiac Scrub experience.
