About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Pediatric Emergency Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 3x12-hour or 5x8s Hours per Shift: 12 hours or 8 hours Experience: 2 years recent experience in a separate pediatric emergency department or children's hospital License: Current RN license required Certifications: BLS, PALS Must-Have: - 2 years recent experience in a segmented pediatric emergency department or children's hospital - Experience with computerized charting - Triage experience, IV Start, Tele, Conscious Sedation Description: Must work until specified end date. The position will involve working holiday shifts. Shift options vary. Weekend work with full scheduling flexibility is required. National certifications are mandatory. Immediate compliance with documentation and onboarding requirements is expected. Candidates must be willing to work nights and varying shifts. Experience treating a wide range of pediatric conditions is preferred. Staffed in a fast-paced and high-volume emergency department. Will provide care for neonates, infants, children, and adolescents. Expect to treat approximately 100,000 patients per year. Candidates must demonstrate competence in starting and maintaining IVs. All shifts are available; candidates must be adaptable to departmental needs. Candidates should have experience with straight catheterizations on all age groups. The emergency department operates with specific patient ratios. Additional skills in port access are preferred. This role requires close cooperation with interdisciplinary support services. The work environment is dynamic with significant seasonal fluctuations in patient volume. Experience in pediatric trauma care is a plus. Candidates should show a commitment to providing high-quality emergency care.
