Requires daily onsite attendance; this is not a remote-work position. Functions RESPONSIBILITIES Essential Operates laser engraving equipment to mark parts when needed Reads Production Order and shop routers Assists with paint and grinding operations Assists with shipping and receiving duties as needed Assists with cleaning of shop and machines Operates forklift as needed Additional Other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities. Reporting Relationship Reports to Shop Manager Takes direction from Machine Shop Leads Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS Required Basic computer skills Must be detailed oriented DESIRED Knowledge of machine shop operations Ability to operate a forklift Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, And Other Characteristics Ability to work in a team environment, remaining attentive to ideas, recognizing responsibilities, and actively participating with others to accomplish assignments and achieve desired goals. Working Conditions Primarily indoors during the day Frequently working on or near moving equipment and vibrating equipment. When outdoors, humidity is frequently above 90% Noise is over 85 decibels. Light is intense/glare. Occasional exposure to open fire/flames/sparks. Frequent exposure to airborne dust, fumes, and gases.
