Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist with 2+ years of experience and ARRT and KY state license required (if applicable).

Details

• Work in a facility with 2 Cardiac Cath Labs plus rotation into the EP Lab
• Perform 8-10 procedures per day, including 6-8 STEMI cases per month
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Meditech charting system experience required
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM with a rotating weekday off
• On-call expectation of 8-10 days per month, typically one night per week (5:30 PM-7:00 AM) and one weekend every 3 weeks (Friday 5:30 PM-7:00 AM and Saturday/Sunday 7:00 AM-7:00 AM)
• Must respond within 30 minutes for STEMI alerts
• Call team consists of 2 RNs and 1 Rad Tech
• Float required within scope of practice
• Schedule requirement of 84 hours per two weeks on a rotating basis (one week 3x12, next week 4x12)

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Cath Lab/EP specialty required
• AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications required
• ARRT certification required
• Active Compact or State KY License required at time of submission, or willingness to apply for KY licensure once offered (license required if applicable)
• Must apply for KY licensure the day of offer acceptance if not already held
• Copy of unexpired Driver's License required, with address matching permanent address
• Copy of current certifications required
• Two professional references required within the last year: one Charge or higher and one Supervisor
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include table panning and scrubbing for diagnostic and interventional cardiology cases
• Assist with devices and tools including Shockwave, Balloon Pump, Impella, EKOS, Penumbra, and ACIST injector
• Perform device implants including pacemakers and ICDs (single, dual, Bi-V) and peripheral diagnostics/interventions
• Cross-training available for EP procedures including ablations
• Physicians utilize both radial and groin access approaches
• Scrubs and lead apron provided
• Orientation held bi-weekly
• Must live 75+ miles from the facility; local candidates will not be considered
• Up to 7 days of RTO considered if presented upfront with no changes accepted
• Must work either a major or minor holiday during the assignment
• Travelers must take a minimum 6-month break after working one year before being eligible to return
• First-time travelers not specifically excluded but travel experience is not required
