Civil Project Engineer (EIT)

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated *Civil Project Engineer (EIT)* with *3–5 years of experience* to join our growing Orlando office. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of land development projects, including commercial, residential, mixed-use, municipal, and institutional developments. The ideal candidate has strong technical design skills, enjoys collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and is eager to continue progressing toward Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.

Responsibilities

* Prepare civil engineering designs and construction documents for land development projects.
* Design site grading, storm drainage, water distribution, sanitary sewer, paving, and utility systems.
* Perform stormwater management and drainage calculations using industry-standard software.
* Assist with permitting through local municipalities and regulatory agencies.
* Develop engineering reports, cost estimates, and technical calculations.
* Coordinate with architects, surveyors, planners, and other engineering disciplines.
* Participate in project meetings with clients and internal teams.
* Assist with construction administration, including reviewing submittals and responding to RFIs.
* Perform QA/QC reviews of engineering plans and calculations.
* Support Project Managers with project schedules, budgets, and deliverables.

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
* *Engineer-in-Training (EIT)* certification required.
* *3–5 years* of civil engineering experience, preferably in land development.
* Working knowledge of Florida design standards and permitting requirements.
* Proficiency with:
* AutoCAD Civil 3D
* Hydraflow
* ICPR4 or ICPR (preferred)
* HEC-HMS
* HEC-RAS (preferred)
* StormCAD or similar drainage software
* Microsoft Office Suite
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.
