Under the direct supervision of department leadership, this role performs a variety of tasks including stripping, setting, and pouring concrete into molds, cleaning work areas, and assisting across departments as needed. This position plays a key role in ensuring efficient workflow and meeting daily production goals. Key Responsibilities
- Follow all safety protocols and contribute to maintaining a safe and productive work environment
- Prepare molds by cleaning, lubricating, and setting them up for concrete pouring
- Assist with stripping finished products from molds and resetting for next production cycle
- Support other departments as needed due to increased workload, staffing gaps, or special projects
- Maintain clean and organized work areas; put away tools and equipment as directed
- Operate equipment and machinery under close supervision
- Collaborate with team leads and supervisors to meet production targets
- Learn and use hand tools, power tools, tape measures, and basic blueprints
- May be trained and certified to operate a forklift within assigned work area
- Report equipment issues, safety concerns, or production problems to a supervisor promptly
- Perform other related tasks as assigned
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to learn and work in various roles throughout the plant
- Familiarity with basic hand tools and tape measure usage
- Ability to read and understand simple production drawings or blueprints (preferred)
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous experience in construction, manufacturing, or similar work environment is a plus
- On-the-job training is provided
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical labor for extended periods
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs frequently
- Able to operate small power tools safely
- Must be comfortable working in environments with varying noise levels, odors, and weather conditions
- Most work is conducted indoors; occasional outdoor work may be required
