CDL-A/ Local Driver/ Ladson South Carolina

We are seeking a dependable Delivery Driver for a full-time local position based in Ladson, SC. Drivers will operate automatic tractor-trailers completing commercial and residential deliveries for multiple customers.

This is a hands-on position involving 100% touch freight, loading/unloading, and approximately 16 stops per day. Routes are primarily local, with Myrtle Beach being the farthest delivery area.

Pay: $25.00/hour
Sign-On Bonus: $1,000
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM; some routes may run longer
Weekends: No
Overtime: Available, but not guaranteed every week
Equipment: Tractor-trailers and 24- or 26-foot straight trucks
Transmission: Automatic
Stops: Approximately 16 per day; varies by route
Touch Freight: 100%
Driver Helpers: Provided for deliveries requiring a two-person team

Duties

Safely operate tractor-trailers and 24- or 26-foot straight trucks.
Complete approximately 16 stops per day, depending on the route.
Load and unload freight at pickup and delivery locations.
Handle 100% touch freight.
Lift and handle freight weighing 50 lbs. or more.
Transport palletized freight, including medical products and home furniture.
Make deliveries to stores, warehouses, yards, businesses, and residences.
Perform product assembly/disassembly approximately 50% of the time.
Work with a driver helper when a delivery requires a two-person team.
Perform warehouse duties, including pulling freight, staging freight, and general cleanup.
Operate a forklift when needed if qualified and experienced.
Properly secure and protect freight throughout transportation and delivery.
Maintain professional customer service and follow company safety procedures.

Qualifications

Must possess CDL-A license
Ability to safely operate automatic commercial vehicles.
Ability to safely lift and handle 50+ lbs.
Must be comfortable with a physically demanding 100% touch-freight position.
Ability and willingness to load and unload freight.
Comfortable performing product assembly/disassembly; training is available if needed.
Willing to perform warehouse duties when required.
Forklift experience is helpful but only required when assigned to forklift duties.
Must be available Monday–Friday from 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with flexibility to work later depending on the route.
Comfortable making both commercial and residential deliveries.
Ability to complete local routes, including trips as far as Myrtle Beach.
