Responsible for ensuring that patient referrals and all related paperwork, data and tracking are completed on daily basis. Handles all phone calls appropriately in a timely manner. Appropriately records phone messages and ensures that the messages are tasked to the correct Provider. Responsible for ensuring that all relevant laboratory, testing results, office notes and patient correspondence are forwarded to Referral organization in a timely manner. . Assists with monitoring tracking systems to ensure that results are received. IE: Pap, lab and referral. Assists front desk with missed appointments that need to be rescheduled and documents in the patients electronic health record. Assists other departments such as front desk when needed. Required Skills/Abilities: Ability to maintain confidentiality Preset a positive and professional attitude Planning and organizational skills Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Ability to identify problems and to propose feasible solutions Ability to maintain accurate records Ability to enter and maintain data in various company software programs. Knowledge of company’s policies and procedures. Knowledge of modern office equipment, troubleshooting, practices, and procedures. Interpersonal/human relations skills Time Management Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent Patient check-in/out Completing new patient profiles Insurance information verification CPR or ability to obtain Physical Requirements Sitting in a normal seated position for extended periods of time Reaching by extending hand(s) or arm(s) in any direction Finger dexterity required to manipulate objects with fingers rather than with whole hand(s) or arm(s), for example, using a keyboard Communication skills using the spoken word Ability to see within normal parameters and hear within normal range Ability to move about NOTE: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
