Supervisory Firefighter

Fire Department Management

Responsible and fully shares in the overall technical and administrative management of the Fire Department at assigned installation.

Plan, direct, and implement the fire prevention and protection programs for this installation.

Read and interpret regulations, technical manuals, and information contained in professional publications relative to fire prevention and protection.

Perform supervisory personnel management duties such as planning work, making duty assignments, and assuring needed training is accomplished.

Monitor the 911 Emergency Operations Center and the Assistant Chief of training.

Review and approve contingency plans to effectively handle Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD), CBRNE, Force Protection, and Hazardous Materials incidents.
