Loan Operations Specialist

Responsible for reviewing, processing, and maintaining loan documentation in compliance with underwriting guidelines, bank policies, and regulatory requirements. Supports loan operations through accurate recordkeeping, collateral tracking, and customer service.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Review loan packages and documentation for accuracy and compliance with underwriting guidelines and policies.
• Input and maintain loan information within the loan processing system.
• Analyze collateral documentation to identify potential issues or risks.
• Process and post loan payments.
• Scan, index, and maintain electronic and physical loan files.
• Perform collateral maintenance and tracking.
• Monitor and track required financial statements and supporting documentation.
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality of loan records.
• Provide support to internal teams and customers regarding loan documentation and servicing.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience: Associate degree or equivalent preferred. 6 months to 1 year of related banking, loan operations, or administrative experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills & Competencies:

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, spreadsheet software, and banking/database systems. Commitment to customer service, professionalism, and confidentiality.

Physical Requirements:

Regularly required to sit, use hands, reach, speak, and hear. Occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, or lift up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close and distance vision.

Work Environment:

Moderate noise level in a professional office environment.
