3rd Grade Teacher

Westside Academy is seeking a passionate 3rd-grade teacher to help students develop and flourish throughout the school year. We aim to hire teachers who will develop ways to help students grow in the classroom by setting an excellent example while providing lessons that meet the needs of all students. we are offering a $2,000.00 sign-on bonus. We earned a "High Quality Charter School' designation by ODE in 2018 and 2019, and have continued to rank high in value-added growth on our current state report card. Responsibilities include: Educating children in the classroom by communicating and teaching directly with students in one or more subjects clearly and within the bounds of school procedures to ensure the success and development of your classroom throughout the year. Establishing a developmentally appropriate, positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment Monitor each student’s progress and provide extra mentorship as needed, including helping students prepare for standardized testing Giving and grading assignments, homework, and tests Meet with students and parents to discuss education-related issues, student progress, and attend staff meetings where you will work with other teachers and supervisors Overseeing students during recess, lunch, and other activities.
