Lockbox Payment Processor

Job Title: Lockbox Payment Processor Location: (City, State) Duration: Contract - 3 months Pay Range: $18/hr $18/hr (W2) Job ID: 409599 Job Description We are seeking a Lockbox Payment Processor to join our operations team on third shift. The role requires experience with high-volume payment processing and data entry and a proven ability to meet productivity and quality standards while following defined procedures. Responsibilities Work third shift, Sunday through Thursday, 9:30 PM to 6:00 AM. Participate in onsite interviews and coordinated start for training as scheduled. Prepare transactions for deposit by following established lockbox processing procedures in a production environment using designated software. Manually extract payments from envelopes. Separate and sort checks and invoices per client specifications and workflow. Accurately key payment amounts from the legal line of checks into the unique software application using a PC. Read and follow account-specific instructions to prepare deposits accurately. Collect and prepare check copies for re-association as applicable. Physically re-associate check copies with invoices and envelopes by matching and stapling per customer requirements. Sort completed batches for outgoing mail to clients. Meet or exceed department productivity and quality standards while adhering to all processing procedures. Maintain a clean and orderly work area and perform other duties as assigned. No supervisory responsibilities. Required Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Basic computer skills and proficiency with PC-based applications. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Preferred Skills One year of experience in banking operations or lockbox processing. 10-key proficiency and high-volume data entry experience. Working Conditions Ability to lift and move objects up to 25 lbs frequently. Ability to sit for extended periods up to four hours. Work involves repetitive motions.
