Job Description

Parker Laboratories, Inc. seeks a full-time Quality Engineer based in Fairfield, NJ to lead and support Quality Control and Quality Assurance activities that ensure compliance with U.S. and international regulations, standards, and guidance related to Class I and II medical devices and disinfectants.

Req a Bach degree or equiv in Chemical Eng, or a rel field and 5 yrs rel (progressive, post-baccalaureate) exp in Quality Assurance in Food/Bev, Pharma, or Med Device industry. Must also have 24 months of exp with: (1) implementing knowledge and experience in ISO 13485, ISO 9001 and ISO 17025; (2) experience in risk management using HACCP and FMEA; (3) implementing microbiological analysis techniques including Pour Plate, Spread Plate, Membrane Filtration (MF), Most Probable Number (MPN), Gram Staining, data reporting and interpretation, media preparation and sterilization, and aseptic sampling techniques; (4) performing laboratory testing and chemical analysis, including pH measurement, viscosity testing, water analysis (hardness, alkalinity, conductivity, chloride, sulfate), chromatography (GC and HPLC), and various laboratory techniques including spectrophotometry, titration, gravimetry, and comprehensive water analysis; and (5) performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) using tools including 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagram, Pareto Chart, and implementing corrective actions. Employer will accept experience gained concurrently. Salary: $114,483 to $120,000 /year and standard company benefits. Full-time, position located in Fairfield, NJ.
